I grew up with these two love-birds and to be able to see them now as a family with their two beautiful and spunky kids was a real treat. They had me laughing the whole time! I guess some things never change.
Oregon was amazing, gorgeous, and green. Being with my family is always wonderful and this time was no exception. We had a great time with Ami and Poppy, my brother Seth and Caroline and their son Tommy. More pictures to come.
I am babysitting a 50mm f1.4. When I screwed it on, the heavens opened.
Upclose, creamy delishishness? Yes please.
Indoor shots with no flash? Well alright.
FINALLY, a picture of Miss Lulu with her REAL smile! Not to be recreated in a different location however. And yes, that is a massive bruise on her forehead from a run in with a door being closed.
Geoff has a conference in Spain, and the day after he returns, another in South Carolina. Poor planning? Believe me, we know. Instead of sitting at home feeling sorry for myself, the kids and I decided to go spend some time with Ami, Poppy, Seth, Caroline and Tommy in Corvallis. We’ve got sewing sessions, a beach trip and a sweet hike all planned out already. I am so excited!!
I will be doing a limited number of photoshoots while I’m there. If you’re interested, please email me. ***Fully booked
**Workshop update, only TWO spots left. Sign up soon!
Rest assured this spot will be thoroughly photographed upon my arrival. We miss you AND your swish pants Uncle Wook!
As I mentioned in my last post, Laura and her husband Jared came and stayed with us for the weekend. We had a great time together, eating, shopping, playing with the kids, movies, a run for the girls, and Pickle Ball for the boys. We loved every minute with them. The kids barely let them out of their site for a shower.
Laura brought some bread for the kids to feed the ducks with. Both of them loved it, especially since “duck” is one of Lucy’s favorite words to say.
With my swollen-eyed children, recovering from a lovely bout of pink-eye.
A ma’am left these huge bags of super hard bagels for us to throw for the ducks. We opted to stop when the ducks started choking on them.
When Isaac is done with his quiet time, he comes into my office and says, “Ask me some questions mom.” Then I ask him things like, “What’s your favorite color today…” and then we play the “Would You Rather” game. Sometimes I throw him for a loop and ask him things like, “Would you rather eat quesadillas all your life, or chicken nuggets.” Then we laugh because he realizes he’d be happy with either choice. And usually, while we’re talking, he lays on my lap and rests his hand on mine. It’s my favorite time of the day.
Unless you’re going to snow instead, then stay.
Though I’m an Oregonian, I am not a fan of the rain. I do however, enjoy sleeping when it’s raining. Does that count?
I’m itching to get out of the house and in the sun. Ugh. I am looking forward to a week of Valentines love with my hot husband, AND my little sister and her husband will be staying with us this weekend too. Looks like it’s going to be sunny after all.
Please allow me to brag about my husband for a minute here. Geoff recently presented an abridged version of his dissertation at a conference in Germany (I can’t really talk about the fact that I couldn’t go, or the fact that I can’t go with him to another conference in SPAIN). They asked him after if they could publish it, and here it is in all its glory! And yes, we’ll forgive them for not putting Dr. by his name.
You are amazing husband!! Love you!

While I don’t claim to be the expert in all things photography related, I AM an expert in my style and how I do photography. So, if you like my results and want to learn more about how to get fantastic photos with your camera, please sign up!
I do not offer an online class at this time. In my experience with online classes, they have been sub par and I haven’t determined how to do one yet that is interactive and beneficial. I do however, do one-on-one training for $60/hr, if this is more the route you are hoping to go.
Seating is limited to 30. If interest exceeds that, I will offer an additional class at a later time. My training will be tailored to digital SLR’s and Adobe Photoshop.
I look forward to meeting you!
