I am babysitting a 50mm f1.4. When I screwed it on, the heavens opened.
Upclose, creamy delishishness? Yes please.
Indoor shots with no flash? Well alright.
FINALLY, a picture of Miss Lulu with her REAL smile! Not to be recreated in a different location however. And yes, that is a massive bruise on her forehead from a run in with a door being closed.
what a lovely candid smile 🙂>>when boy was about 20 months old (he’d only been walking about a month or so) he did a face plant onto the hard concrete floor of a store just before getting his photo taken. needless to say the fuss cancelled the shot and we rebooked for the next weekend. he had a quarter sized bruise right in the middle of his forehead.
How does one babysit a lens? How wonderful; I had to wait too long for mine! Love the creamy…
Was the top a crop from further back or did you just happen to nail the dof right? I have a heckuva time getting the thin DOF of my 50 1.4 to land where I want it too. So much that I’m starting to wonder if it’s my lens rather than my skills (though I still presume the latter).>>I hope you cover this at your class.
Isn’t that lens the best?! I am in love with it. So much so that I feel like Im cheating on it when I switch it out. I don’t do that very often. 🙂>>Love Lucy’s smile. She is one gorgeous girl!
Luli’s smile is so sweet and I can’t believe how long her hair is. That last picture is so sweet.
Leah….I was so bummed to see your workshop too late! I took a “break” from blog hopping and ended up singing up for a workshop around here that is non refundable. I hope you do another workshop or I may just do a one on one. >Love you stuff girl you got the smoothy photo moves!!!!!>>P.S. Love that picture of your bro Luke…hope he is doing well.>angie from RDC
One more question. I really want a picture from RDC that I can hang in my house. I won’t be abck for at least a year so I was wondering if you had a great shot you’d be willing to share/sell that I can use. Rock Dock….Top of Rattlesnake…a cabin…anything…I’ll take it!>email me if you get a chance>jakeangellie@yahoo.com>>Seriously can’t wait to go back there now that I have a some photo skillz under my belt a bit better.
such a great lens. isn’t it fun? LOVE what you did with it. that last shot is amazing. must frame it. are you good a printing your pics??! I am the WORST. you wouldn’t even know i own a camera if you came to my house. at wppi i went to this awesome class and they guy was talking up the 85 1.4 like none other and kinda thought the 50 mm was no good for portraits. which basically rules out like 90% of my pictures. haha. ever used the 85?
sheesh, sorry for the novel. =)
Stop babysitting and start “borrowing” on a more permanent basis. Great pictures!
creamy and delishious, absolutely! your kiddos are the perfect little models!
Wow, Leah! Those are some great shots. The last one needs to be blown up and hung in an art gallery. What a priceless picture! I had fun catching up on your latest posts, too, I’ve been out of it lately! Hope you have a great trip to Oregon!!
Dang! Maybe I should have shelled it out for the 1.4! Looks great! By the way, either Monday the 2nd or the 3rd would work for me. Think I’ll hold out on the photos just yet, but I can’t wait to talk photog with a pro =) Just let me know what will work better with your family plans.
ohhh I love that last picture! Leah, stop it! you are so creative and make everything so fun!
Is your workshop full? I’ve just found your blog and tried to sign up- but can’t get it to work.. it just takes me to the survey website… let me know if there is a spot still available. I’m excited! Thanks!>>calistoddard@gmail.com
