Lucy: back to sleeping once a night, for the most part. We’ll see how long that lasts, I’ve probably cursed myself now.
Isaac: back to taking naps, hooray! Later nights, but I have my sane working hours back. He’s 100% going #1 in the toilet, but pretty much 0% on #2 in the toilet!!! My poor washing machine hates me. Any suggestions?
Love the rolls on the back of those legs
So sweet. The only thing better would’ve been a bare bum but I understand why you didn’t put that on your blog. I guess Isaac just doesn’t want to call me bad enough to warrant a #2 in the toilet. Sad…
bribes..bribes..lots of bribes.
the only thing i can think of is time. boys tend to mature more slowly than girls and take longer to potty train, especially when it comes to poohs. perhaps going back to trainer pants for a while might provide some motivation, but i’m not sure that motivation is the issue.
Those boots are to die for! Adorable. The thought of potty training makes me cringe…good luck with Isaac.
Super cute photo! Um…buy extra underwear and chuck the bad ones. I refuse to hand wash the poop. If it is bad I chuck them, if not then the washer better do the trick.>>Good luck!!
way cute picture!!! I love her chub!!!
I’m going through the same thing with Rilee right now. No troubles telling me when the pees are coming, but the poops are another story. >As I was trying to get her to poop on Saturday I was thinking of all the ways we describe “pooping”. The one that kept coming to my mind was “dropping the boys off at the pool”. Rilee LOVES swimming. So I told her that her poops wanted to go swimming. About 5 min later she was done!! That didn’t work today though. Today we had to sit in the bathroom and color until all the poops came out. >This is probably way to much information, but I know what you are going through! So frustrating!! Let me know if you figure out another way.>>Mandy
Adorable photo. Good luck with sleeping, p. training and all the rest!
I love those boots!!! I WANT A GIRL!!! But I do love my boy too!
We have to keep changing the bribes- golfing with dad/visit to Chuck E Cheese’s. But honestly after talking to several mom’s who’ve trained boys- I’ve decided to take a break from the task for a while. I think he just likes me changing his bum.
Ok, it is now a personal goal of mine to be the first comment-maker on at least one of your posts- I’m always #12 for some reason…>>I failed miserably at potty training Myka- I tried too soon and she was no where near interested- I was trying to get rid of the double-diaper bill @ Costo- so I am just totally letting Haily take her sweet old time. She’ll be 3 in March and hasn’t even begun, so there you go.
Mia went for the first time in the toilet today! yea! Her problem was/is that she won’t sit there long enough to poop. I got an elmo coloring book, stickers and some new markers and voila! So I guess my advice would be get something new that will hold his attention…don’t know if that helps or not. Good luck! 😀
Now that is just the BEST! I love Lucy’s little bum and rolls!
Love this pic! She is darling! I got you email, so we’ll see you at 5. Thanks Amy
I guess I have 2 suggestions for the “2-sies on the toilet”. #1: Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi. Even if he’s not interested in reading it, you’ll be entertained. #2: (A tip I picked up from a law-school classmate of Rich’s who was also a pediatrician) Go to the dollar store and pick out a few toys he’ll like and wrap them up in bright, fun wrapping paper and put the presents up on the shlef where they are visible, but out of reach. Don’t say anything to him about them. Wait until he asks what the presents are for and then explain they are for little boys who go poop on the toilet. Let him open a present everytime he goes poop for a week or so…hopefully he’ll be in the habit by then.>>Good luck. I hate potty training! It really does test your sanity (and the durability of your washing machine)!
