I have a whole new appreciation for single moms after a week of having Geoff gone (not that he hasn’t left before, but this was my first time alone that long with two kids and a baby). I got just a glimpse at how hard it must really be. By the end of the day I am beat. Geoff usually does the bedtime routine with the kids to give me a little break. With Geoff gone I was about at my breaking point by the end of the day. And then Lucy decided to start waking up in the middle of the night…generally while I was feeding Kate. This made for some very long nights and very early mornings and a very tired mom. Needless to say, we were all VERY happy to have Geoff back.
But this smile makes it all worth it.
Yup, totally worth it 🙂 She’s so sweet Leah. I’m single this week…Mark is gone aalllll week, so I’m right there with ya!
What a smile!! I’m in love!
Leah she is absolutely adorable!
oh I am so glad you finally got some of those big genuine smiles we saw so many of while visiting!
You’ve got to be kidding me with that smile, it’s adorable. Baby smiles come just in time when you need some rewards as a new mom.
you made me start singing that beyonce song now- i secretly fantasize about being one of her back up dancers in that video- except still married to aaron- cause yes- caring for littles just as mom alone takes so much-(i bet you did a great job regaurdless)
Glad that he is home now and that you are able to get some help. I can totally relate. Benjamin is going to be in SLC for many months, and the idea of being pregnant, and alone with four kids kind of makes me want to cry. But it sure does make you appriciate all that they do even more.
Love sweet miss Kate’s smile!
Oh my goodness, that smile is so precious!!! Sooooooooooo cute!
