After a ridiculous amount of time waiting…it actually happened. They broke ground on our lot today! I may or may not have jumped out of the car and started hugging the workers and our builder.
I got there right as they were doing the first dig (next two pictures). Can I tell you how excited I am to look out on these mountains in the morning!
Isaac LOVED watching the whole process. Lucy however, was too scared of the excavator, so she stayed in the car and occupied herself by coloring on my car seats with a highlighter.
This is Isaac mimicking what the excavator was doing.
WHOO HOO!!!!! I am so excited for you guys!!!
Leah- this is AWESOME!!! The company is going to want to buy your pictures as their “cover girl” shots.
How sweet of Lucy to decorate your car! How quickly did your excitement deflate when you saw that?
Isaac looks as handsome as ever. He really is growing up.
This is so exciting…congrats! Can’t wait to see the site myself!
Congratulations! I am imagining those mountains with snow on them in the winter… it will be a lovely view!
I’m a lurker (I love your photos), but that third photo reminds me so much of the book “Are You My Mother?” with the little birdie walking around trying to find his mom. Cool.
I read Sage that book about 15 times in the last 2 days. True. So very exciting!
SO EXCITING LEAH!!! I can’t wait until it’s an official frame. Let me know if I can help with you anything while in the apartment-
VERY exciting! Hope it all goes quickly and smoothly 🙂 Excited to see updates via your blog!!!
That’s awesome. Where are you moving to?
That is just too darn exciting! I can’t believe how big Issac looks! He is getting to be such a big boy!
P.S. It has been WAY to long since we have seen you guys!
oh this is so exciting! hooray! can’t wait to see it someday if i ever brave the cross country flight to ut again…
How exciting…and that (the background) is something we CANT find in Cali….how beautiful. I am excited for you. Where is it at. Not just the city, but an old timers Ut girl, who doesnt know all those cities very well. In relation to either Ogden, SL, Provo, Heber…those are the ones I know…HE HE HE
yaeeeeeeeeeee! i love these photos of Isaac! he will love them too one day!
SWEEEEEEEEEET! Congratulations!!
I literally had a dream about your ground breaking in mapleton. There was a pool involved, i was invited over ALOT and it was a super fun neighborhood…so the future looks good for you! AND ME!
Ah -glad to see your contributing to Suburban Sprawl. 🙂
Don’t you think the idea that no one can go anywhere really until they are 16? That every time you step outside your front door you have to get into a car to do anything ? 🙂
just a thought. Great pictures though:)
