We packed up all our things and said goodbye to our home of the last 5 1/2 years this last weekend. Saying goodbye to the place where we brought home our babies is hard. Moving from that home to a small apartment is even harder. We’re all adjusting, but I’m not going to pretend that it’s been an easy thing. We know that it’s just an “in between place” and are now even more anxious (if that was possible) for the home we are building in Mapleton. So, if you happen to see myself and my children looking for a wide open space to run, you’ll know why.

You will love Mapleton. It is the place that I grew up. Although it is a lot bigger now then it was then. And Hello there is 2 beautiful canyons within 5 minutes of each other tigh there.
wow! you are already all moved out?
i know what you mean about in between places… no so fun, but i’m super excited to see you new place. i’m sure it will be amazing!
It really is bitter-sweet isn’t it? I am going to call you so we can plan something.
wow, leah. what a brave step you guys are taking! how exciting, though. and just think how sweeter you’re new home will be, coming from such a small place. i’m so excited for your new home, and can’t wait to see it.
I’ve been wondering how the big move went…and even more how the two kiddos are doing sharing a room for the first time. Are you all getting sleep?
Saddest. But, Im so excited for your new home. AND at least you get to see the lovely skyview on the regular for a few months.
Best of luck and LIVE ON!
Wanna hang out next month?
Leah,
You have now created a vacuum and the universe will fill up the empty space with every good thing you have coming to you. Living in that apartment will only make you appreciate your dream home even more. If THATS possible.
You can come play in my scantly furnished home any time you need a break. Love you!
I thought your house looked empty when I was walking to Kristin’s today. So sad. I’ve got a backyard of leaves that kids could play in!
That is so sad. I’ll call you today.
I am so sad you aren’t just a few steps away from me! who am I going to ask for a little basil or an egg on sunday afternoon?
I feel your pain. We also lived in an apartment while our current home was being built. We loved getting into our house after apartment life. Hang in there!
Sorry you feel “empty.” But there is honestly nothing better than a good move to help you purge some belongings…especially when downsizing to an apartment. When is the house in Mapleton expected to be done? And what’s this I hear of a view of Skyview? So fun.
Wow! DId you sell your place? Or renting it out? That is great. Just feel better knowing that I will most likely never be in a house but a condo for the rest of my life! jk
I am sending a friend your way to get photos. Her name is Mindy!

Hey, ill meet you at the “open spaces” because we know my house is a box! So when can we come see your new apt neighbor?
Looking at your house I also feel empty in more ways than one – actually 5 to be exact. Because you are my friend I am happy for you – but sad for me. Oh well, at least I have your table to remember you by ;-)jk. Love ya!
My family moved into a two bedroom apartment and stayed there for nearly 9 months while our house was built. All four of us kids were in one room. That was the year I started high school.
it IS rough…. I feel for you friend. Bring those builders cookies and bribes…. It always take so much longer than expected (hate to say it!)

Hi friend! We just got done with done the apartment stage and while it can be tough, I am here to remind you of all the positives. For one, you don’t have to clean as much and when a horrible spill won’t come up on the carpet, you can just say, “who cares? it’s a rental!” You will love how inexpensive your utility bills are – not to mention everyday is garbage day so you don’t have to remember to bring it to the curb! And most of all, you will look back one day soon and laugh about that time when the four of you were crammed into an apartment and how much fun you had, and how you realized that home isn’t where you live but where your family is all together. love you 🙂
I want to know your new coordinates! I bike through Mapleton, since it’s only 1/2 mile from our home, several times a week. Love that area!
