I’m an auntie again! So sweet to be able to take my sister’s kids to meet their sister for the first time, hours after her birth.
They even were able to give her her first bath! Congratulations Watts family.

I arrived earlier than planned by an accident for our little at home shoot. Instead being flustered about that as I likely would have been, Courtney asked me to stay and photograph things as they really were, mere weeks after Iris’ birth. I love that about Courtney, she is who she is. And she was tired, and her baby was crying, and there were other children who needed attention to, and I took pictures. Motherhood is beautiful, but it’s also exhausting. It’s not glamorous, but it is priceless. I hope these photographs will be to their family as well.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the Hadlock family many times now and I can’t tell you what a treat it is each time I see them. They just welcomed their newest miracle addition to their family and we spent a lovely morning together documenting her with her loving siblings and mother. It was hard not to post each and every picture from the shoot here. I hope you enjoy these moments captured as much as I do.
I had a two very full days shooting all the amazing products that Baby Elephant Ears has to offer. I met some really sweet moms and some even sweeter kiddos. Thank you to all those who participated.
After just returning from a week long trip to Northern Idaho that involved a lot of in-the-car-naps, I am SOLD on the elephant ear pillows especially. I used them on both Lucy and Kate and they were amazing. No more lopped over heads and propping up needed. I’m not kidding, these are one of my top baby gifts now. And the tuck in feature of the bibs, brilliant.
I’m shocked, shocked I tell you that my little baby is already one-year-old. I don’t know how this happened, but I do know that Kate was worth all the wait. Each one of us loves her so very much and she does such a good job letting us know she loves us back. I have cherished every single day with my baby thus far and will continue to do so, even if she has to go and grow-up.
I’m an auntie again! Hudson Wright (Geoff’s brother’s first baby) made his entrance into the world on New Years Day, so pretty much he was born cool. Welcome to the world little buddy!
Technically he’s been four for a month now, but we celebrate a month later so that he can have his own special day (Christmas is pretty hard to compete with). I decided to do friend parties every other year, so this year we had over the limited family that was in town and Isaac’s best grown-up buddy, our neighbor Bryan.
We had a day of his favorites, which included: powdered doughnuts and bacon for breakfast, homemade mac n’cheese and quesadillas for dinner, cupcakes with green frosting, and a night out at the BYU basketball game. He was so embarrassed with all the attention that he walked around with his eyes closed most of the time (or made faces like the one he’s making with the cupcake). It was funny, and a little weird.
That’s what Isaac calls her. Did I mention that he’s obsessed with her? Emily stayed at our house the last couple days and my kids were ga-ga over Sage. Isaac keeps telling me how much he misses her.
