Lucy and I met up with Geoff and Isaac at BYU (they biked there and back, that’s a 2 mile bike ride for my 4 year old!) and walked over to the beautiful stream and waterfall they have made there. There were lots of baby ducks and Lucy couldn’t have been more excited. I was taking some pictures of Isaac and Geoff walking on the rocks, while Lucy disrobed and started walking in the water. She is certainly a water-baby!
I intended to just take some pictures of the kids and the ducks, but Geoff took my camera while I was playing with the kids and got these. At the risk of seeming conceited, I post them because I think he did a great job and honestly, it’s nice to have some visual memories of myself with my babies. It’s warm summer evenings like these, spending time with those I love the most that I’m reminded how lucky I truly am!
**Technical note: these were taken with my 85mm at 160/f3.2 (which should have been smaller so that we were all in focus, but oh well). I happened to lay down in a patch of sunlight coming through the trees–HELLO, must do that more often because it did wonders for my face and under eye bags!
You have no idea who I am but somehow I came across your blog and I keep coming back to look at your photography. GORGEOUS!
Your entire family is picture perfect and so photogenic!
I play with photography and am just starting to learn…what settings did you use to get these shots? Are they edited a lot?
IN LOVE with #2. so, so beautiful. he really did do a great job!
Lovely.
Not conceited at all. I like finally seeing pictures of you too. These are beautiful pictures.
I wish sometimes Mark would grab the camera like that! These are beautiful…and I’ve always loved your wedding ring 🙂
These are perfect!
Give me a break Leah! You are not the least bit conceited and posting gorgeous pics of yourself with your gorgeous kids is what we all want to see. Geoff did a great job and you are beautiful. 🙂
These are gorgeous! The one of you and Lucy is my favorite – looks like it’s straight out of J.Crew catalog
You are beautiful lady and so are your adorable kids. I had forgotten how pretty your ring was too.

Are you kidding me! You are gorgeous!
I love your blog and was sad when I missed the class you offered back in April. Will you be doing another one? Thanks for including the technical info. on your shots. I often wonder what lens and settings you are using. I also wonder, where are some of your favorite locations to shoot at in the Provo area? Thanks!
More pics of Leah! More pics of Leah! More pics of Leah!
I loved these. You do look absolutely gorgeous, and it was such a treat. I love seeing you on your blog too. That second black and white one was incredible.
Geoff, you did a FABULOUS job! I love the second shot too.
Leah, sorry I haven’t had a chance to comment lately. I loved the cowboy shot and of course, Lulu’s sun dress shots were great too.
Eye bags??? I don’t think so, Leah! You look beautiful ALWAYS and these certainly are amazing shots. Nice, Geoff! They are priceless!
nothing conceited about sharing great photos!
so beautiful and sweet!
What precious pictures of you and your two children. They are beautiful. I do love the lighting. And what pretty eyes you all have.
Under eye bags? Haha whatever! You’re beautiful!
You should do this more often. When Lucy and Isaac have children of their own, they will cherish these. It’s not until you have children of your own that you TRULY realize just how much your Mother loves you.
GORGEOUS! I am in love with these! You are so beautiful Leah.
