On Friday, Amy and our friends Blake and Leslie joined us at Tibble Fork, (up American Fork canyon) for what turned out to be not such a lovely afternoon. While the boys enjoyed themselves biking, the ladies dealt with all sorts of things.
First up was Livi falling in the sludge that surrounded the lake two minutes after arriving.
Then several microbursts which left all five kids crying, sand in our sandwiches and our chairs and blankets strewn across the dirt. Another highlight was a lovely tantrum by Isaac, followed by rain.
Despite it all, we’re laughing about it (now) and did enjoy the beauty of our surroundings.
Doesn’t it always seem like the boys get the good time and the girl get the kids?>>Amy
Hi Leah, this is just a random little comment, but I check out your blog every now and again , and I just gotta say girl, your family is so incredibly gorgeous! Your kids are so darling, and you capture such great pictures. And I just leaned over to Marcus (who is 90% asleep after a 38 hour shift at the hospital) and said, “I think Leah sherry is one of the prettiest girls ever!” Anyhow, just thought any girl can use a genuine compliment! Take care!
Sorry it wasn’t the best trip. Love the last picture. Were they just doing this or was it posed? Either way- it’s just so sweet.
That is about the ugliest picture of me ever but you guys look good!!
Dying. Sounds like a rough one.
Sounds like several excursions we have had as a family!>>Ditto to Anna’s comment!
Love the last picture.
Actually Sara Spring, that comment was Becca’s (I no longer live with my brother Marcus), but I was thinking the same thing, that your sister Leah is incredibly beautiful and such an amazing photographer. >>I just read my “Annie Bananie” book again last night Leah. What a perfect book you gave me- and so fitting with all of our childhood excursions and adventures. I’ll always treasure it.
Leah, I found your blog through Steve & Lindsey Anderson. The pictures you have taken are amazing. Your going to hit my blog list.>>Nanette
