Here’s to me trying to overcome my cleanliness issues and embracing my daughter as she took her spaghetti fingers and ripped out her piggy-tail and smeared dinner…everywhere.
I think some pictures of Isaac being clean are in order.
Wait Kristina…say promise!!!! You must all DIE at the messes my kids make. I get WAY to much done while they are feeding themselves. Dishes, laundry, blogging, sinkbaths, you name it. Good work Leah. Embrace the mess!!
I wish I had more “cleanliness” issues. I just have so many other things that have to take place — but I haven’t exactly let him do spaghetti by himself yet. But he does feed himself bananas and they get quite mushy. But hey she did have fun huh??
Ryan was more concerned with why she was still wearing a white shirt than the mess she made. Apparently our children will always eat naked if left up to him.
This totally reminds me of what Coop looked like this morning after eating a bowl of yogurt. For some reason he is sure the yogurt is some kind of hair product. It’s hard to let go of feeding your kids sometimes because you know how much work it is following the meal to clean them up.
I can totally relate. Payton has wanted to feed herself way before Kai ever did and it stresses me out. Lucy is still the cutest baby EVER, even with lots of spaghetti all over her!
oh man, I feel your pain. I love to make spaghetti and Ryley LOVES to eat it, but the mess that accompanies it is almost too much! Pretty much always requires a good long soak in the bath for her moments after finishing, and a good mop of the floor for me :).
oh man, i am trying so hard to overcome my cleanliness issues! and i’m still in banana and peaches phase. i can only imagine spaghetti! but when all is said and done, they have fun doing it that way, right?! this is such a funny picture, mess and all! she still manages to stay adorable!
this is exactly why Bella still does not know how to feed herself! so I commend you! and look at that smile, she had a blast!
Just think, if you hadn’t have allowed her to make a total and complete mess, you never would have caught this adorable picture!

priceless!
That really is a cute memory to have. I’m guessing Lucy got a bath after supper then.
even with all that goop in her hair she is so darn cute!

Oh no, messy kids are the cutest. Nice shot! Love it.

The spaghetti sauce sets off those gorgous eyes spectacularly!
I think I have cleanliness issues to….I’m nervous for this stage too.
If only that type of eating was socially acceptable for adults . . .
