One of the main reasons (besides getting eggs) for us getting chickies was to teach the kids some responsibility. Isaac’s job is to take care of them, check on their food and water, let them out in the morning (their totally free range (if you’re from Oregon like me, you’ll roll at this video)) and Lucy and him get them back in the coop at night. So far, we’re all loving our new pets.
They are growing up so fast- the chickens that is. I have got to start watching Portlandia. Every clip I see is so funny and SO OREGON. The writers must all be Oregonians.
Wow, never knew a chicken to be so calm. Looks pretty mellow in his arms!
I love that clip from Portlandia! The Oregon mindset has definitely gotten to me, I can’t wait until we live on some land so we can have our own chickens. I would have never even thought of it 5 years ago when I lived in Arizona.
Thanks again for meeting with me last week. I’m sure I’ll have some questions coming your way before too long.
Have a fun trip to Oregon, should be good weather for you!
Woah, that chicken has green eyes. That clip was really funny. Is it a TV show? About Portland? LOL.
So cool you guys have chickens.
He looks like one of the kids running around Hauula with a chicken, well almost.
