Geoff had a conference in Vegas this last week, so the rest of us tagged along for a much needed break from our daily routine. Unfortunately, that break included virtually sleepless nights with Lucy only sleeping on me for one three hour stretch each of the three nights we were there. Needless to say, vacations with children are not relaxing! BUT, despite all of that, we had a wonderful time with Geoff’s sister Whitney and her family. Geoff and I both despise the Strip, especially since we have children with eyes, so we didn’t go there, but we had a great time just hanging out with the family, shopping!, eating yummy food and even going to a movie one night. With this being the holiday picture taking season I have been totally and completely buried with photo taking and editing and my design work on top of that, so I was very grateful for the break. Thank you for your hospitality Cromwells!
I was totally proud of my husband for not having a near heart attack when Isaac came down the stairs in this getup.
Isaac and Parker, cousins and best friends. They were totally inseparable.
hi, i read your blog from time to time. i love your photography. just had to say i recognized one of those kids – parker has gotten big! the cromwells used to be in my ward.>>cute picture of the boys and lol about the belle dress.
It’s because Geoff had a similar experience as a little guy and would have felt hypocritical saying something.
Isaac is totally smiling with his eyes and working his angles in the first one.
I’m glad you had a good time. I can’t believe Geoff didn’t have a hissy fit when Isaac came down in that dress. I think it’s hilarious. Why was Lucy being such a pill?
ok, that is hilarious! i think clint would have freaked a bit if ezra tried that. i love it!>>p.s. i think we’re due for some craft time. overdue that is.
I am dreading our trip to California for the same reason! Jake does not sleep if he isn’t in his bed in his room. I feel your pain…
awesome!!! blackmail photos for when he’s a teen 😀
Glad you got a break, but sorry you didn’t get much sleep! We need to get out of Provo for a while. The daily grind gets hard!!
ha ha, we had one of those moments a couple weeeks ago when j thought it’d be fun to dress a up as a princess too. what can you say?? definite blackmail >B^D
I never laughed harder than when I read, “because we have kids that have eyes…” >Nice. welcome back. glad you got to go!
Hi Leah, it’s mickell. I’ve had kind of a crazy couple of weeks & haven’t gotten back to you about pictures. I’m just wondering if you have any time to take our family pictures. I don’t need them back by Christmas, maybe just a family one for a card. I feel terrible asking you so late in the season, so if its not do-able just let me know. Thanks! my email is mickellwarner@yahoo.com
Oh Isaac, you look simply dazzling! Glad you guys are back. Did Amy tell you that we met at library bunch again and went to McD’s. You totally missed out. Lisa and Taylor get into tonight. Hopefully we’ll see you soon! -Anna
I have checked in on your blog from time to time. Your pictures are always beautiful and your editing and finishing skills are excellent. I was a little bothered by this post though. Am I the only one who feels it is inappropriate to put your young son in a dress? There is so much confusion in the world related to gender roles and the like it just seems a little bit unnecessary to add to it this way. Just one person’s opinion.
I find it interesting that “sunny” whoever she or he is would question little kids dressing up – obviously she/he is oblivious to parenting. But besides the obvious, what I find more interesting is how sad it is when people like “sunny” (nice alias BTW) leave politically charged comments on a friendly blog who hasn’t (not from since I have been following this blog) ever posted anything inappropriate, and rather chooses to share her wonderful talent with the rest of us, despite people like sunny who twist everything to the negative (boy I hope “sunny” reads this) – we’re lucky to be able to see her (this blog’s pics) and enjoy her photography skill. “Sunny”, next time keep it to yourself – and in the old adage, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.”
I echo what the person “yours” posted above; that person “sunny” whoever she is, is lame.
