You may remember this family from previous shoots and this precious baby girl that they adopted. The mother just contacted me concerning the agency that they adopted from. Right now they have 10 African American birth mothers all due from this month to June and NONE have chosen families for their babies. The chances are good that they would be matched with a birth mother and the family will have a baby in their home in the next few months. It would be a private adoption, so it is expensive, but there is information on financing private adoptions.
I’ve seen very closely the wonderful benefits of adoption. I am a huge advocate of it, and that is why I have chosen to post this. If you are interested in more information about adopting, send me an email to my pelousedesign account (linked under my photography), and I will direct to you whom you need to speak with.
Hello, You don’t know me, but I follow your blog because of your beautiful photography. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your post today. Adoption is the most wonderful thing that happened to our family.
Wow! What a blessing that you posted this. It looks like we will be adopting our 3rd child in May – otherwise I’d be sending an e-mail straight away. Is the agency an LDS agency? A close friend of mine is LDS and she mentioned once that there is an adoption program through the church. Just curious. >>What about you guys? One of those little sweeties might fit quite nicely into your family. 😉
leah, thanks for posting this. i told sean that if we can’t find homes for all these babes, we may be a family of 13 by june! 😉 thanks for your help! >p.s. i still love this picture, it is one of my faves. so tiny!
that is a gorgeous picture. i love that it tells a story all by itself!
Leah, you don’t know me, but your page was forwarded to me by one of my family members. I am African American and my husband and I are certified to adopt, and looking for a baby boy. How can I get my information to the birth mothers you are referring to? I do have a profile page they could access on the internet.
And by the way, wonderful pictures!
Leah, talk with Kanani — I know she was talking about the possibility of adopting. I guess you never know.
YOU should adopt one of them! A baby would be lucky to join your family.
