I had a whole shoot in mind for these costumes, but alas, I had to stifle the photographer in me and just be a mom and pull off the side of the road for a few quick shots on the way to Amy’s. We ate a delicious dinner and then headed out for some trick-or-treating around her new neighborhood. Lucy would open a new candy the second she got it and shove it into her mouth. Needless to stay, we didn’t keep her out very long. Isaac, Livi and Ethan had a blast together, running from one house to the next. I’ll have to get those pictures from Amy as I forgot my flash-dang it! Hope you all had a wonderfully fun and candy-filled day!
Hansel and Gretel. Please note the bread in Isaac’s hand that he insisted on bringing with him so he could drop crumbs.
Hansel being upset because his dad left him in the woods. (Have you read the story lately, it’s actually pretty disturbing!)
I found Lucy’s dress at Goodwill a while ago and altered and changed it a bit. Isaac’s lederhosen were from my parent’s dress up box, they’re the real deal! Everything else was stuff I already had.
Oh WOW Leah, they look SO adorable!! You are always so creative and do such a great job every year with their costumes!!
Leah, their costumes turned out perfect!!! You are da mom! Did you dress up as the witch? 😉
Really cute! Great job…
Ummm, hello. Too cute. Love how Lucy is looking at Isaac in that first one.

Thanks for the birthday call. Sorry I missed it! I hate it when the kids play with the phone. Any way… where can I get some lederhosens in my size??
Um…SUPER CUTE- but I just don’t understand how you have such sweet wholsome kids that agree to such costumes!? My boys were ALL about SPIDERMAN- and I have no idea where they even learned who Spiderman is…*sigh*
THanks Leah- that means a lot coming from you!
of all the firends pics I have seen of their kids on halloween, those win the most darling. Could not be cuter
Those costumes are so adorable and super creative. I love it. They look darling.
Totally Awesome, Leah! How cute are your kids??? Isaac is loving his lederhosen is classic! My mom brought some of those home from Switzerland when my older brother was about 8 or 9 and MADE him wear them to church. Needless to say, I have some memories of an outfit like that. Lucy is darling, of course! Such a clever idea!!!
Why are your kids always so cute?! I love homemade costumes…Way to go!
They turned out SO cute!!! So creative!
r u kidding me? best costumes hands down. leah, if you have weaknesses, i have no idea what they are. and could your kids be any cuter?
Okay this is so darling it’s ridiculous. And the pics are perfect even though they were a spur of the moment thing. You’d never know.
What cute costume ideas! The rosy cheeks are way too cute!
These photos are darling! You definitely hae the hands down cutest Hansel and Gretle I’ve ever seen.
Fantastic! I love that these costumes are something different from the same-old standard of super heroes and princesses.
