I was so happy to get to photograph the newest member of the Chappell family, my most faithful clients! He is such a good baby!!

I’m back from a WHIRLWIND trip to Washington where I did two photoshoots and managed to squeeze in some time with my older sister and family. It was a great trip despite all the driving, where I listened to CD after CD of Christmas music and got thoroughly in the Christmas spirit. (as a side note: we purchased Hotel Cafe last night and it is a MUST HAVE. Seriously, my new favorite Christmas compilation next to Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton).
And where were my children during this you might ask? With my fabulous husband who winded and dined them on a variety of sugar cereals, trips to Kangaroo Zoo, loads of Christmas crafts and ended it all with a ship-shape house. Am I the luckiest girl alive or what?
And now for the Seattle-Andertons:
Totally started raining here, but how dreamy and stormy is it?
For all the camera techies out there, this image is SOOC (straight out of camera). Absolutely nothing done it. Three cheers for the 24-70mm on a 5D.
Jade walls and lime green grass, yes please!
And now I need to go ice my camera trigger finger.
I’m still in recovery. I don’t know how in the world wedding photographers do this amount of shooting continuously! I can say however that I was honored to do it and am pleased with the ending result, even if it meant three blisters from running around from 10am-10pm in high heels. We couldn’t be happier to have this BEAUTIFUL bride in our family!
The little girls followed Megan around everywhere carrying her train.
Steve (my brother-in-law) and Megan are set to get married in just one month. We’re all so excited to FINALLY have Megan as part of the family! This is my favorite engagement shoot yet, I had a hard time choosing which pictures to show. They’re just so smokin’ hot!
And don’t forget to scroll down, there are a bunch of new posts after this one.
Ok, I realize I am posting a TON of pictures here, but it’s my sister, and she’s real pretty, and it’s my blog. I also found out at the wedding that I have quite a few followers that I didn’t know about before, so let me formally welcome you and let you know that I’m happy to read comments from you and any other nice lurkers out there.
The Logan Temple in all it’s glory.
Everyone who came.
The happy couple with all the kids (minus Jared’s nephew). My mom cut apart regular sized ties to make mini ties and bow ties, she’s crafty.
I love my sissys!
Laura looked BEAUTIFUL, and radiant and all that other stuff that comes with being so in love. My sister Emily made her earrings and bracelet and my mom, grandma and aunt did all the flowers. My mom also made the lace additions to Laura’s dress. The lace was all from my mom’s wedding dress, how precious is that?
Jared looking handsome himself.
Isn’t my grandma just gorgeous?
This shot is in honor of Laura’s vegetarianism.
Sam, Jared’s adorable nephew.
I’ve never taken a funnier picture. I roll everytime I see this. Lucy and Sofia were sick, Chloe fell over, and Sage was just confused.
My sweet sister Laura is engaged!! Both returned from their LDS missions within 2 weeks of eachother and days later after reuniting, they were engaged (though quick, I might add that they have known eachother a total of 4 years). We’ve managed to almost totally plan the wedding in a week and this weekend we fit her dress to her (my mom and I actually chose and bought the dress for her, and in a true miracle, she loves it!), do her invites, and take their engagement picture. We had about 20 minutes till the sun was fully set, so this was a SUPER quick shoot. These are pretty much the only pictures I have of them where they aren’t sucking face. We’re just as excited for them as they are. We love you Laura and Jared!
I knew the second I shot these that they’d be my favorite.
I love meeting people who follow my blog. It’s like we’ve been friends for years. Thanks for the lovely evening!
I was so excited when the Halversons asked me if I’d take their pictures. Lisa and the rest of her down right hilarious family, are a long-time family friends whom I love to pieces. They adopted their adorable son at birth. You know how I feel about adoptions, so needless to say I was so happy to take their pictures for many reasons.
I also learned that I am apparently very allergic to this orchard. I broke out in a nasty rash from laying down on the weeds. Now if that isn’t devotion to getting a good shot, I don’t know what is.
Here are some photos from the beautiful and EXHAUSTING day. We wish only the best to these two lovebirds!
