Lucky me, the Greefield family decided to stopped in Mapleton on their roadtrip from Alabama! I’ve know Kim and her husband for a long time now and was flattered when Kim, an amazing photographer herself, asked me to take some pictures of her family. We got rained out (seriously Utah weather!!), but were able to get a good hour in before we had to run inside. Thank you Greenfields for letting me spend a little bit of time with you guys!
While I was in Oregon, I had the opportunity to take pictures of the Martin family. I fell in love with Oregon all over again as we traipsed around their backyard, dripping with daisies, all things green, chickens, and pollen…
Corvallis has a water park just minutes away from my parent’s house now. Of course this came about after I had moved out of the house. We all loved it and the weather was perfect!
I love this picture of my parents crammed in our van on the way to the waterpark, playing with baby Kate.
My mom suggested we take the kids that were there (not everyone had arrived yet) to a strawberry patch. The strawberries were so delicious and we all filled our tummies as well as our baskets.

I’m breaking our 2 week trip to Idaho and Oregon in several posts so as not to overload you all at one time.
The Sherry family has a tradition of Sunday walks. We love them. And take a look at the scenery, who wouldn’t! Geoff was in Vancouver B.C. at a conference for the first part of our time in Oregon, so the kids especially loved having their uncle Seth around.
We started a tradition a little while ago that when a girl entered the family, she got a silver c-band bracelet, to represent our sisterhood. The last couple years, our family alone must be keeping the silversmith in business with all the baby girls we’ve added. With my mom and dad leaving in October on an 18-month mission to Fiji for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we decided my mom needed one as well so she could have a physical reminder of all her sisters who are so proud of her, love her and know she can do it even when times get hard. We inscribed “Forever Sisters” in it. She grew up in a family of brothers and always wished for sisters and the special relationship that goes along with that. As we’ve grown older, I know we all think of my mom as a sister as well. That means more to me then many things in my life so far and I hope that my daughters will think of me in that way…well, at least after they’re teenagers.
Some things you should know about this little darling:
• The jury is still out on whether it will stay, but her hair (meaning the tuft at the top) appears to be auburn.
• If you say “where’s you’re smile” to her, she’ll smile. Every time.
• She started spitting up a lot, which none of us are fans of. Could it be something I’m eating?
• In general, she sleeps like a dream during the day, but mom would appreciate a longer stretch at night pretty please.
• She has been known to put both fists in her mouth, and occasionally a foot as well. At the same time.
• She absolutely melts each and every one of us and we can’t get enough of her.

I took some pictures of my cute nieces as a surprise for my brother for father’s day. After spending some prolonged time with them this past week at our family reunion, I can tell you that they are even more beautiful in person.
About 10 minutes after the Perry’s arrival, the weather took a nasty turn. The winds picked up to ridiculous speeds. Greg and I could barely stand up straight we were sneezing so much. All in all, not the best all around conditions for a family shoot. So we get to hang out again when the weather and our schedules decide to cooperate. But there were some pictures worth saving. Too bad the wind was so bad, because the lighting couldn’t have been more perfect.
