Isaac loves “Eth-ey”, and I love Amy for having another one before me so he can learn how to be nice to babies before I have mine! Less than four weeks left!

Geoff’s been dying to get out and ride his bike since he has Spring Term off (from teaching atleast, not from the PhD), so he came home early today and geared up. About ten minutes after he left, I heard thunder and the hail started coming down. I must admit I may or may not have chuckled to myself. When he got back, he was soaked and said he had a great time, though the hail was a bit painful. He is drenched in this picture, although as I look at it you can’t really tell. But, aside from all of that, please note my beautiful Wisteria behind him. It is my most FAVORITE thing (next to our snowball tree) in the backyard. And it smells just as lovely as it looks.
Thank you to everyone who was so kind to think of me yesterday on my birthday. I was overwhelmed with calls and emails. Thank you!
A special thanks to my sweet husband who took me out to breakfast at Magleby’s Fresh (a tradition and the location of our first hot date), came home early and let me take a nap, and then made a delicious dinner of salmon stuffed with lobster and spinach, baked potatoes, bread and a tasty salad. Only to be topped off by angel food cake with homemade whipcream, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries!! Divine!
Here is a picture of Geoff and I at the top of Diamond Head. It was not a hard hike, but the last set of stairs about did me in. You should have seen all the looks I got on this trip for being pregnant! The view is beautiful at the top, you can see all of Waikiki and beyond.
My favorite sign, my favorite surf town.
At Hanauma Bay. Geoff was in heaven snorkeling. I freaked out and went back in. It made me feel really calusterfobic and I did not like it at all. Geoff also saw a huge turtle at Waimea when he was snorkeling around! Pretty much I think my husband is the hottest man alive if you were wondering.
Ahh, Goat Island. I spent my last day in Hawaii there 10 years ago, thinking I’d probably never come back. How lucky am I that I got to go again? Geoff and I walked the half mile or so out to this island and spent the day there having a picnic and walking around the island. It has the most beautiful cove there that I just love. It was quite trecherous going out (you’re on a coral reef the whole time), and even more so going back as the tide came up. I had my camera triple wrapped in all sorts of bags because I knew I would be sad if I didn’t get any pictures out there. Thankfully, Geoff was a little more steady and took the camera as I had a couple close calls with the reef.
