I have the best clients. Truly. Danielle’s family and I were destined to get together for a family photo session, it just took us quite a while to finally meet up. But when we did, we were instant friends. You would think that it would have been a crazy couple of hours with four little boys, but they were all as sweet as can be. Thank you Danielle for your kindness and for introducing me to your family.
Geoff and the kids went to Escalante Utah and hiked two slot canyons last year and loved it, so I decided to join them this year. My “sister-in-laws” watched Kate so that we could be a little bit more flexible. It ended up being one of my favorite things we did together this summer. It is unbelievably gorgeous in Escalante and it was so fun to get out and get hiking again with the kids and their friends. We plan on keeping it as a yearly tradition.
Making dinner after we hiked to our camping spot and then hiked Peekaboo with only head lamps!

Back at the car, happy, tired and amazed by the beauty nature has to offer.
Nothing could ruin Jessica and Brent’s special day, not even scaffolding covering the entire Mt. Timpanogos temple and closed down roads! I was so grateful to be a part of such a special day for these two and their families, and wish them the best of luck on a lifetime of adventures together.
I might be partial because Thales is my sister-in-law’s little brother, but isn’t this a beautiful couple? I just love their laid back style and how much they are in love with each other. Made my job very easy because it was darn near impossible to get a bad picture of them, they are so happy! Congratulations you two.
I had a two very full days shooting all the amazing products that Baby Elephant Ears has to offer. I met some really sweet moms and some even sweeter kiddos. Thank you to all those who participated.
After just returning from a week long trip to Northern Idaho that involved a lot of in-the-car-naps, I am SOLD on the elephant ear pillows especially. I used them on both Lucy and Kate and they were amazing. No more lopped over heads and propping up needed. I’m not kidding, these are one of my top baby gifts now. And the tuck in feature of the bibs, brilliant.
Lucy started Kindergarten today in a darling skirt her Grandma made her for the big day. She told me she was really nervous on the way there. By the time I dropped her off and spoke with her teacher, she was chatting with her table buddies and the nerves had disappeared. I can’t wait to see all the things this little one learns this year. I then went home to a glorious 2.5hr quiet time while Kate was asleep. It’s going to be a good year…for all of us.
