Isaac and Parker had fun today playing together in the sprinkler. They kept giving eachother drinks from it. I love the picture of Parker, he’s totally doing “Blue Steel”.
Here are some pictures from the weekend. Geoff’s dad’s 60th birthday surprise celebration was this weekend, so all the family was in town. We had a photographer come and take family pictures, so I don’t have any of those, but I did snap some pictures while she was busy doing other things. I got a new lens this weekend and I was itching to try it out so I jumped in from time to time. I’m addicted, what can I say? Here are a couple of my favorites.
Sorry, haven’t taken many pictures as of late, I’ve been real busy between work and the kids. No, I’m not pregnant, but I do have a second child…my little brother. No, honestly it’s been so fun to have him around. We’ve been going all over the place getting him settled in and trying to find him a job. I need to get some pictures of Isaac and him, they are great buddies. Here is a picture of Isaac with Geoff’s tennis racket. He loves it and carries it around all over the place. And p.s, that’s his tounge, not his bottom lip.
My little brother Luke has arrived! All the family in town met up at PF Changs in Salt Lake for a delicious dinner, and then we brought Luke back with us to P-town. He’ll move into his apartment tomorrow. We are so happy and excited to have him here. Geoff, Luke and Isaac were out playing boules in the alleyway and I snapped a couple pictures. All of the boys refused to cooperate as usual, so here are some more of Isaac…not looking at me.
Geoff has had this whole week off and we had yet to do anything “fun”, though Geoff has been doing a lot in the backyard which he thinks is fun (we’re cementing the area next to the garage in the back). We took the opportunity to go to nearby Utah Lake and live it up for the afternoon. We put Isaac down for a nap and a neighbor girl came over to stay with him. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. No wind with glassy and relatively warm water. We had SUCH a good time!
I woke up at 8am to hear some large item in our back alley way. Isaac had had a rough night, so we were sleeping in a bit, all of us but Geoff who can’t sleep past 7am. I look out the window to see Geoff in a large back-ho with our friend who lives down the street. Geoff had purchased some poly-pavement to do our back entry area by our garage and needed the back-ho to level the area. After successfully and quite beautifully if I might add, doing so, they headed over to our friend’s house down the street to take up his driveway to do the same thing. I went over there with Isaac to watch the festivities and offered to watch their youngest boy while the mom took their other boys to swim lessons. After taking up all the old concrete, our friend decided to dig a hole to re-route some piping with the back-ho. This is where things took a turn for the worse. As he did so, we heard a loud hissing noise. Geoff yelled “Grab the kids, it’s the gasline!”. So I grabbed the two boys and took off running down the street to our house. They called 911 and after a disappointing 10 minutes or so, they finally came. But, they didn’t know how to turn off the gasline. By this time, the whole neighborhood is out and the air smells of gas. A half hour later, Quest finally showed up and turned it off. Thankfully, nothing major happened and was more of a potential scare than anything. I of course brought the camera out to document the event.
