I’m having a really hard time getting Isaac to smile for the camera. Nonetheless, I thought this picture of him in his train conductor hat was priceless.
Though Isaac doesn’t look super happy in these pictures, he loved following Seth around while he was here and watching him play the mandolin. He’s so lucky to have uncles who take time to come visit him.
This is my younger brother Seth. He is coming through on his way to do river rafting tours in Moab this summer. It was so fun to see him. Seth and I used to play “indians” together growing up. I’d make him fake leather clothes out of crunched up paper bags and we’d dig in the ground for clay and make pots.

Happy Birthday to me! Geoff suprised me with the thing I’ve been wanting most, a new digital camera with all the functions I’ve been craving. And to top of a perfect day where Geoff came home EARLY, we went to the Tree Room for dinner! The place wasn’t busy, so I was shameless and brought out the camera. How could I not, everything was beautiful and absolutely fabulous!

I am constantly in awe of my husband. He has more responsibilities in normal day than most I know, yet still finds time to give so much to our family. He is a thoughtful husband and a caring and fun daddy. He makes me laugh, he makes me smile, and most of all, he makes me want to be a better person. Thank you Geoff for making my life so much better than I ever thought possible.
I’m speaking of my mom of course. She is amazing. I had the craziest week of my life with work, some major deadlines. She was so helpful in every sense of the word. She played with Isaac, took him on walks, totally revamped my yard (including sawing off dead branches from my lilac trees!!), helped cook meals, went shopping etc! It was pure heaven. I was so sad to see her leave today. I am blessed beyond words to have such a vibrant, caring and beautiful mother. I love you!
Hooray! It’s that time of year again and we are just itching to get the garden planted. Geoff rotatiled most of the plot we have, and Isaac promptly plopped himself down in the dirt and enjoyed sifting through the dirt. He’s all boy through and through.
