We couldn’t have had a better day to celebrate Lucy coming into our family, much like the day she joined us six years ago. Lucy is a sweet, sassy and talented girl in a mini body. We love her so!
She has begged for an American Doll for two years now and we finally caved. I should post the video of her opening it. Priceless!
We decided on a water party since it was a friend party year.
We did tug of war over a sprinkler.
Then a rousing game of “Musical Towels”.
Followed by “Toss the Water Balloon”, which was more like “Can Anyone Actually Catch A Water Balloon”.
Geoff made a massive Slip N Slide which was a hit.
Lucy couldn’t handle it any longer, so we opened presents.
And had group hugs.
Then we fine-dined on hot dogs, watermelon, chips and lemonade.
And finished the party off with a Strawberry and Cream Trifle.
We love you Lucy!
Geoff started “TEC” (Technology Engineering Club) after school in Isaac’s class. It was a big hit and we’re hopeful that his school will be implementing this next year as school wide class. Here’s a picture of Isaac and the kids in the club after an ROV underwater competition. They made the submarines and programmed them!
A hike to Spanish Fork hot pots with my parents. They’ve been asking to go since they left on their mission so we took advantage of a warmer day.
Easter dinner with Geoff’s sister Elise’s family, his parents as well as mine and my brother Luke. It really was a perfect day with some DE-licious food.
Attempted to take some Easter pictures. Getting all three was nearly impossible.
I was privileged to team teach with two other fine photographers (Ashley Thalman and Meikel Reece) for a Photography class at BYU. It was a combination of instruction and shooting. It was a blast and sparked some ideas that will be soon to come!
Trip to the zoo with friends on a rare warm day. Can we have some consistency here Mother Nature?
A quick trip to St. George filled with lots of pool time and fun with friends.
Really sad that I took this with my phone and not my big girl camera, but really happy to have this time with my babies documented.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! I plan on making this a wonderful year full of new memories, new clients, new adventures and new goals accomplished.

Grandma Lola left this life yesterday. I will miss her humor, her kind words, her firm handshake and equally firm slap on the back. I am so grateful to know that she had so many loved ones to greet her on the other side and every more grateful to know that we’ll be together with her again. I’m thankful for the day I became her granddaughter and due to her lack of hearing at a quiet moment, she yelled out at our wedding ceremony, “Doesn’t she look beautiful!”. I think even if she hadn’t been hard of hearing, she still may have yelled it out just to make me feel good.
Till we meet again.
