Isaac was looking oh so cute on Sunday, so I told him I wanted to take some pictures of him. He promptly ran and got his train conductor hat…random since he never wears it, but ok.
Right, so I managed to only take one picture this trip?? Geoff and I had a fabulously romantic anniversary celebration up in Park City, just the two of us! My sister Emily and Luke were so kind and watched Isaac for us on Friday and Saturday. We lived it up with fine dining, accommodations, and shopping. It was so nice to spend time together, just us, and remember all the fun memories we’ve made over the eight years total we’ve loved eachother.
We had a rough night last night. Isaac has a cold and was up off and on throughout the night. This morning though, after breakfast, I came into his room and found him on the rocking chair reading a book. It’s all worth it.
Amy Furstenau had some great shots of Estee in this type of setting. I hope she doesn’t mind me copying. This isn’t the exact shot I was going for, and will probably reshoot tonight with better lighting-but I couldn’t pass up posting this one because I probably wont get this adorable expression again. P.S. I cut Isaac’s hair this morning, mostly the back. Not a professional job, but I’m actually quite pleased with how it turned out.
My brother Seth and Luke are staying with us. I realized this weekend that I’m out numbered. And as I walked outside to see Isaac doing this, I wondered, why are boys and girls so different? Why do boys take reading material into the bathroom, or turn everything into a competition, or dunk their heads in run-off water? These are the questions I ask myself.
