Our good friends the Fowlers are back from China. Isaac and Jimmy are only a few days apart in age. They were so fun to watch interact. At one point I heard them yelling for a toy they both wanted and came around the corner to see them with each other’s hands on the other’s face, pushing! As you can see by the look of Isaac’s face in this picture, he’s not so sure if he wants another boy around as competition.
What a helper my mom has been! She spent hours and hours in our front and back yard, pruning, raking, pulling weeds, planting flowers etc. And I thought our yard didn’t need much more work on it! Boy was I wrong. It looks, SO good now. Thanks mom!
Spring is definitely in the air, and our tulips are in bloom. Geoff and I planted 80 bulbs many months ago and now they’ve come up. I thought we should get a picture of them before they die, I wish they stayed longer! We decided that we should have planted in groups, instead of in a row.
My little sister Laura, was nominated for woman of the year at USU. All the local brothers and sisters met up with my parents who flew in for the occasion and Laura and her boyfriend Jared for the event. Though she didn’t win, she wins Woman of the Year every year in my book!
We decided to go to Geoff’s sister Whitney’s house for the break. We are so grateful for their hospitality! We ate delicious food, shopped, went to Lake Mead (as pictured), and shopped some more. Isaac enjoyed playing in the water, and even fell in once-don’t worry, we were close by!
We went to Nate’s baseball game. It was so nice outside! Geoff leaned over and asked me if I was ready to be a baseball mom yet…I think we have some time before I get that title! I mostly included these pictures because I thought Isaac looked so cute in his huge gansta shorts.
Geoff went and got a sprinkler to put under the trampoline and the kids loved it! Isaac wasn’t too sure about it all, but as long as he was closes to dad, he was fine. Isaac also enjoyed his first popsicle. The kids pictured here are our neice and nephews, Nathan, Hailey, and Parker who is three months older than Isaac. They had SO much fun together!
Though you can’t tell from the weather, we’re on Spring Break. Well, Geoff is. We leave tomorrow for Las Vegas, I’m so excited for a break! I had to work all day today, so Geoff watched Isaac for most of the time. He put this sticker on Isaac’s head for some strange reason. I’m not sure what is more sad, that fact that putting a sticker on our child’s head is funny, or the fact that I forgot about it till I was going to put him down for a nap two hours later.
What a great day we had, and what beautiful weather! We met Geoff’s whole family over at his parent’s house in the morning and went to church together. It was a really well done program with beautiful talks and musical numbers. After, we went back to their house for a delicious traditional Easter meal and an Easter egg hunt of course!
